Explore The Major's Farm

Nurtured by Nature

Our coffee thrives in the high-altitude, volcanic soils of Embu County. Benefiting from optimal rainfall and a perfect equatorial climate, we cultivate our coffee trees with sustainable, eco-friendly farming practices. This natural advantage allows our cherries to mature slowly, developing the deep, rich, and complex flavor profiles that define premium Kenyan coffee.

Uncompromised Quality

Every bean undergoes a meticulous journey from our farm to your cup. We employ careful hand-harvesting techniques, selecting only perfectly ripe cherries. Through rigorous processing, sun-drying, and stringent grading protocols, we ensure our final yield meets the highest global benchmarks for quality, delivering an exceptional and consistent experience.

The Heritage & Terroir

Nestled on the fertile slopes of Embu County, our coffee benefits from the region’s legendary deep, red volcanic soil. Growing at premium high altitudes of over 1,500 meters above sea level, our Arabica varietals (specifically the prized SL28 and SL34) mature slowly in the cool, mist-shrouded climate. This prolonged maturation is the secret behind our exceptionally dense beans and the intensely complex flavor profiles that make Kenyan coffee globally renowned.

The Art of Processing

Harvesting is just the beginning of our uncompromised quality control. Our coffee undergoes a rigorous, traditional 'fully washed' process. After the selective hand-picking of only the ripest red cherries, the beans are meticulously pulped and fermented. They are then slowly dried under the African sun on traditional raised wooden beds. This gentle, multi-day drying process is constantly monitored and hand-turned to guarantee a flawlessly clean, crisp, and consistent cup."

Sustainable Cultivation

Great coffee starts with profound respect for the land. We employ eco-friendly farming techniques that protect the local ecosystem and promote biodiversity across our estate. Our water-conservation practices and organic composting ensure that our farm remains a sustainable, regenerative environment. By empowering local agricultural communities and adhering to strict ethical standards, we guarantee that every harvest supports the people who make it possible.

The Signature Flavor Profile

The Major's Enterprise delivers the quintessential Kenyan coffee experience. In the cup, our roasts offer a vibrant, wine-like acidity perfectly balanced by a rich, heavy body. The flavor profile bursts with bright citrus notes, deep undertones of blackcurrant, and a sweet, lingering finish that leaves a memorable impression on the most discerning palate."
